    1. Ben, you are almost there. The prompt was about the Aswan Dam and how it helped or hindered Egypt. You are very correct about the Nile, but I need you to look at the dam. Be sure to answer both questions. Please slow down! You are making silly mistakes because you are rushing!

    3. Ben.... Read the prompt. Answer the first question to the very best of your ability. Then answer the second question. You are all over the place and that is not ok! Slow down. Be deliberate in your answers. You can do this!

I also think it is hinder because people could die if it fluds their house they could die because some people could run out of oxigen. Lilly Allen

    1. Now that we have talked a little more about the Aswan Dam take a look at your comment again. Is your comment about life before or after the dam being built? Does the Aswan Dam still hinder the Egyptians? You are on the right track. I just need a little more information from you!

How is this good for the people? Where does your comment about the homes and villages need to be? I love how you have written in complete sentences and how you have your information right on target! 1. Thank you for your answer, Brayden. Your last 2 sentences that talk about the Aswan Dam and the Nile River need to say more about "Before the Aswan Dam was built....," so then you can come back and say "Since the Aswan Dam has been built..." This will help show a compare and contrast to get your point across that the dam has helped the Egyptians. You are for sure on the right track! Is there another reason?

    2. Before the Aswan Dam was built the Nile River destroyed homes and villages. They started building there house taller. THe aswan Dam helped the people.brayden

How did it help them get healthier food and how did that make their lives better? How did the Nile River pouring water in the soil make their lives better? You have to be able to support your ideas!

  6. I think it helped the Egyptians because it supported fish and good things to eat. The Nile flows through Egypt bringing all kinds of benefits like water to irrigate crops, and a river for sailing ships from port to port. Each year, water would melt on the mountain tops.La'Tariyahna

    1. Thank you, La'Tariyahna. In your first sentence, what is "it?" We usually never use a pronoun in the first sentence because we don't know what you are talking about yet. Replace "it" with the actual name. The prompt is about the Aswan Dam and how it has helped the Egyptians. I need you to look at your answer again. Does it completely answer the prompt? Also, do not copy directly from the text. Those are not your words up there. Use your words to tell me! You can do this! We don't want to know what the text says. We want to know what you are thinking in your brain because of what the text says!

They know it will be what you think since you are writing it. When you use "I think" a lot it takes away from your opinion, reasons and evidence! You get better each and every time!
